February

February 25th - Sunday - Fancy Gap Country Store Rt. 52, Fancy Gap, VA - We'll be sharing music from 3:00-5:00. Come on over and get yourself some great barbecue or brisket and some outstanding ice cream.

March

March 31st - Easter Sunday - Dugspur Calvary Baptist Church - We will be sharing music for the Breakfast before the service and also sharing a few songs as part of the Easter Service which begins at 11. For further information, contact Brent Carrick at 276-231-8378.

May

May 18th - Saturday - Big Walker Lookout - 8711 Stoney Fork Rd., Wytheville, VA 24382 - We'll be sharing music from 2:00-4:00 on the front porch of this sweet general store. You can get yourself a hot dog and ice cream, enjoy the view, and enjoy our music

The Blue Ridge Music Center will be open this year regular hours starting in May until the end of October. They'll start 4 days a week and will be open 7 days a week Memorial Day weekend. Mid-day musicians will be sharing music every day from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. This music takes place in the breezeway and is free and open to the public. Both bluegrass and oldtime music is represented. Gen 3 will play on Wednesdays so we'll be starting the last Wednesday in May, but, since Bill and Maggie are no longer spring chickins, we'll only be playing from 1:00-3:00. June

Gen 3 will be playing this month at the Blue Ridge Music Center, mm 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We share the songs of the mountains and stories about the music of these parts. We also share other story songs that we like, usually with a bluegrass flavor. Bill built both of the instruments that Bill and Maggie play. He's up to about 100 some guitars that he has built, so he'll be happy to answer any questions you have about building. Jody invented and built the unique banjo he's playing. He's also built guitars and dobros and is happy to share some of the secrets of building. Beginning Memorial Day, there is live music in the Breezeway every day.
