Going Home to the Fold recorded at Eastwood Studio, Cana, VA - May 2006. Bill is playing a Brazilian dreadnought that he built and Maggie is playing a sapele resonator guitar also built by Bill.
Going Home to the Fold got a very nice review in the June issue of Bluegrass Now! Among other things, Johnny Pearce, the reviewer, said:" Little in the way of music exceeds the beauty of male/female harmony and Bill and Maggie harmonize to perfection. The simple instrumentation, which consists of an acoustic guitar, a Dobro, tasteful mandolin touches by Eddie Adcock, and a quiet bass track combine for an equally appealing string accompaniment." " ...A Dixie Hall song called "Follow Me Back to the Fold" is another with startlingly beautiful vocals, especially the soft harmony by Bill. The album is full of flowing songs that touch the heart. Fans of the vintage country duets will love this fine CD." In the liner notes for this CD, Martha Adcock says (the music of Bill and Maggie) "is about the pulse of life, the day-to-day striving and, most important, the search for something higher. Bill and Maggie choose songs they really connect with, and the way they sing and play them connects with their listeners." 1. City Folks Call Us Poor - Marshal Warwick 2.
